Our participants love interacting with animals. It’s a great way for them to relax while strengthening their empathetic and caring skills, and improving their environmental awareness.
One weekend, our participants went out for a fun weekend at the Wild Life Sydney Zoo. They discovered some friendly creatures like quokka, numbat, koalas, wombat and platypus. They also enjoyed the zoo’s Daintree Rainforest, where they got to meet Princess, the cassowary.
Before they finished their zoo trip, they explored the Kangaroo Walkabout which showcases Kangaroo Island kangaroos, a quokka, an emu and princess parrots. Afterwards, we went to the nearest cafe where we had sandwiches and milkshakes for our afternoon snack.
It was indeed a lovely day for all of us. We love seeing the wonder and amazement in their eyes as they see the different animals in the zoo. Their faces light up and their smiles come alive as they point to each animal in excitement.
